Our History
Welcome to our little corner
of our First Baptist Church of Rocklin website, by the youth themselves. We're not going to lie, our youth group has been
through plenty of hardships the past few years, but as always, God has a plan for everything. We're proud to say we are
no longer dying, but thriving. We went from nothing to something. We are the Rocklin Baptist Youth.
The Firehouse
We have our own building on the property
that was a retired Firehouse in which we have a pool and air hockey table, four TVs for console gaming, a stereo sound system,
a projector we can get at our whim, a snack shack where you can purchase candy bars for fifty cents and soda for only twenty
five cents, and more.
Our Programs
- Every Sunday
- we have Sunday school that starts at 9:30 and goes to 11:00. During this time we have a church set curriculum
that we follow and learn from. The lessons span from every aspect of life and use the Bible to support its message. We use
activities and lesson related games to be able to help youth get more out of these lessons.
- Every Wednesday
- starting at 5:30, our church has family nights where you as the
youth can bring along family and friends. At 6:30 the youth will meet in the Firehouse to hang out, play games, and then learn
a lesson that is also interactive and fun to participate in for both church goers and non-church goers.
- Every Third Wednesday
- of every month we will have a large get-together in the Firehouse
involving free food, xbox 360s where you can rock out on Rock Band being projected onto the wall via projector, group activities
and games to get everybody together, pool, air hockey, and much, much more. These nights are for both church goers and non-church
goers, but we're aiming to get the unchurched into an environment where we can show them that God is for everybody; no
matter how much you've fouled up in your past. This being said, we have short lessons one these days that are designed
for high impact for the unchurched youth - in a good way. If any of the youth feel compelled to learn more, we have staff
capable of answering any questions they have and free Bibles for handout if any of them want to learn more on their own.
Future Goals
Just like everyone in life, we too have
some goals we would like to accomplish.
- Another one of our goals is to make more external activities
for our youth to be able to partake in. Like paintball, trap shooting, bowling, and things like that.
- The Firehouse
itself is always looking for things that could make it all the better. Almost everything within was donated to our Firehouse
and we could always use more! If you feel you have anything you would like to donate and feel it would fit in at the Firehouse,
we'd happily take it!
- The Firehouse itself could use a bit of an uplift as well. If you would like
to take a glance at things we need and or need repaired, please click here for details.
